9P Caster block for Porsche 944 and 968

I'm producing set of aluminum caster blocks. Item is designed to fit Porsche 944 '85,5- including S and S2 and 968 models.

Item is produced from series 6000 alumium with maintenance free Hirschmann teflon/chrome spherical bearing. Bearing slackness is only 0.00-0,005mm. Bearing housing is without a seal so this item is ideal for summer use and of course for a racing car.

I will sell a pair from this first manufactured set for 140 euros. First pairs are out from surface finishing lab on next week so better pictures coming soon... Items are available in Black, Red, Blue and Grey.

Installation note: The powder coated shaft where the caster block is installed are usually painted so thick that little grinding with sand paper might be needed. Item can be installed with the car's original M10 fasteners.

I'm shipping the items from Finland so shipping cost for a pair will be 10 to 20 euros. Payment with wire transfer or Paypal.

You can contact me to info@9xx-parts.com.

These items can be bought trough Gustaf from Revline Racing too.

I'm guessing 924S only?

You are partially right.. The caster block fits only to aluminum control arm. 924S has aluminum rear control arm but the front arm is steel. So caster blocks can't be used in any 924 models(unless it's with updated control arms).

Antti's products are real nice, I have seen these in "live". Quality is absolutely great. Will get two pairs; one for my own 951 and a second pair for son's project 951.

Here's a picture of the first proto of an a-arm front mounting point spherical bearing assembly.

The proto unit in the picture has not the second phase machining or the surface finishing..

ps. sorry for continuing the thread in "säljes" section. I just got already two persons from Sweden interested in this item so I think there will be some others too?

What is the difference compared to delrin bushing?

A delrin bushing will never be able to handle the miss-alignment of the front suspension. No matter how you try and set caster, the front and rear pivot points of the control arm will never line up! Using spherical bearings at least at one end improves this.

The blocks arrived today and they look great :D

Antti: Other brands of caster blocks like Racers Edge recommend to have the locking ring to the front of the car for maximum strength, is this sommething you recommend as well?

Good to hear!

Sorry I haven't had time to write good instructions for installing the item. I have been working with new products and of course my new web site: http://www.9products.com.

The site is currently under construction but it's updated weekly! I've got many new products in stock that I have'nt added to the sites yet!

About installing the 9P caster block:
Install the side with the circlip and cosmetic flange faced to a-arm.

This way the load from the a-arm is being directed to the caster block body, not only the circlip.
